The New 90 Day Plan

"I started the 90 day plan mainly to loose weight, I thought I was quite fit (not). I was really excited to get all the recipes and I printed them all off and made a folder. As Joe says the key is to planning, so I brought a white board with a week planner on it and on a Saturday I would sit down and plan all next weeks evenings meals. I quickly found out what type of meals suited me as I work out of a van with various start and finish times. My breakfast choice is reduced carb coconut granola and overnight blueberry protein pancakes, I love both of them better than any breakfast I've ever had. I would do my exercise as soon as I got in from work around 17.30 and as soon as that was over I would cook my meal and as it was planned all the ingredients were at home. Saturday, Sunday and one day in the week I would do my exercise in the morning and have pancakes for breakfast, it felt like a treat, talking of treats I absolutely loved the trail bars and also made some peanut butter trail bars. I cannot believe your allowed these 😋. Before I started the plan I would have 1 or 2 alcoholic drinks a evening and more on a weekend, when the plan said it was best not to drink alcohol I decided not to drink unless it was a special occasion (lockdown really helped) I can say hand on heart I haven't missed alcohol half as much as I thought. I really wanted to weigh myself to see if anything was happening but I stayed firm and waited until the end of the cycle. When I did weigh myself I was shocked, and that gave me the drive to keep on track with the food and exercise. I am a typical 46 year old man and I will say I feel a lot better and more full of energy on the days when I exercised. I have tried for years to shift my excess weight and now its finally happening, I am now 13 and half stone, 85kg, I have never been this weight. I still have a way to go but more in the way of toning up. I am signing up for the grand plan now to continue my journey. What I would say to everyone, is enjoy yourself plan your meals and if you do have a day off plan for what ever reason, don't worry just get back to it tomorrow. "

"at you plan what you want to eat and when depending on when you exercise. The portion sizes were a real surprise, I wasn't hungry at all. I even felt like I was eating too much at times- in a good way. The food was so varied and I never got bored. Through the introduction of weights in cycles 2 and 3 I could notice the change in my body. I honestly can't thank Joe and his team enough, I've learnt more in the past 90 odd days about fitness and nutrition than I had in 30 odd years. For me, the plan was about creating a sustainable way to continue to improve my fitness and eating but still allow myself treats along the way. The plan really does allow you to do things your way. This has had so many more benefits for me than just loosing the belly and now my wife has signed up to the app so looking forward to see how we can continue on this journey as a family. A massive thank you "

"After 9 months of inactivity due to a broken ankle, I signed up to the plan to get rid of my dad bod. My aim was to complete the 90 days just before my 50th birthday. I have really enjoyed the structure of it all, the food has been great and the exercise even better. I haven't been able to do some of the moves, like running on the spot due to ankle impingement but have substituted with my versa climber. I have now signed to the grad plan and I feel great. Advice to future signees, put your good pants on for the pictures from the start - my terrible underwear in photo one is the only thing I now regret. 😉"

"Over the years I have done Joe's free workouts on Youtube, but with my gym being closed due to lockdown, I decided to enrol on the 90 Day Plan. I absolutely loved it! It has totally changed my mindset about having to go to a gym to achieve a stronger and fitter body. At 58 years old and menopausal, this plan has been one of the changes in my life that has helped me feel happier and healthier in body and mind. Having a structured exercise and a personal nutrition plan helped me stay motivated and focussed by planning my meals and the workouts were clearly demonstrated by Joe and because they were recorded in real time, I felt I had my own personal coach in my living room! I enjoyed all of the workouts but Cycles 2 and 3 workouts were my favourites, especially the ones with the 2- minute burpee and plank challenges where Joe encourages you to push yourself to your maximum effort. I managed to achieve 29 burpees in 2 minutes and complete the two-minute plank challenge by the end of cycle 3. Whereas at the beginning of cycle 1, I didn't have the stamina or level of fitness to achieve anywhere near that. The recipes I tried were tasty and so easy to follow but I would advise anyone starting this plan to be organised with their meals/snacks and plan at least half of the week's meals in advance. I mainly kept to the recipes but also put my own together following my COY individualised plan. I also batch cooked meals and froze meals as back-ups. I had quite a few favourite recipes; the veggie korma with poppadums, spicy bean nachos and minestrone soup were cooked many times, especially on a weekend! Message for anyone out there thinking about joining up; don't overthink about whether to do this plan - join up. You will enjoy it and you won't regret it "

"I started this journey with slimming World originally at my heaviest 96kg and although I did loose weight with them I found the constant weighing every week depressing and I would always go back to binge eating after. Then I found the 90 day plan 🙌. Its definitely not been easy and constant battles with my inner self especially when it came to the workouts, but it was so worth it! I've lost a total of 12kg and 23 inches off my body and I'm over the moon! I'm the lightest, fittest and healthiest I've been in years, not to mention how much my mental health has improved. My top tip would be to never dwell on a cheat day, just move on the next day, smash a workout and stick to plan. "
