What’s the difference between the 90 Day Plan and the new Body Coach app?

The 90 Day Plan has been completely transformed into a brand new digital product. What’s included in The Body Coach app?

The Body Coach app has a range of new features including exclusive live workouts with Joe every week and new planning tools. Each cycle you’ll receive new real-time workouts that fit perfectly with where you are on your journey, a selection of personalised recipes tailored to you, and continued motivation and support.

You can choose from mixed, pescatarian, veggie or vegan meals and the workouts will now come in three levels; beginner, intermediate and advanced, for those that really want to challenge themselves.

How many recipes are in The Body Coach app?

This will depend on how long you subscribe for. Your meal plan will be updated with fresh, personalised recipes each cycle and your previous recipes will be stored in the ‘Library’ section of the app. This means you’ll have loads of choice and previous recipes will also be updated at the end of each cycle in line with your progress. We’ll keep adding recipes, bringing fresh menus and more meals than ever before.

Can I transfer my 90 Day Plan to the app?

The Body Coach app is a brand new product so unfortunately you won’t be able to transfer your 90 Day Plan account over to the app. You would need to subscribe and create a new account through the app.

Can I log into the app with my 90 Day Plan details?

We’re unable to transfer your 90 Day Plan account over to the app so unfortunately you won’t be able to log in using your existing credentials. You’ll need to subscribe and create a new account through the app.

Is the app available for everyone?

The app is currently available on iOS Apple devices only (iPhone or iPad). We’re working to bring The Body Coach app to everyone in the future, and hope it will be available on Android devices for Summer 2021. If you don’t have an iPhone or iPad, you can still complete our original 90 Day Plan.

Can I get a refund on my 90 Day Plan?

If you’ve signed up within the last 30 days, you may be eligible for a partial refund on the 90 Day Plan if you no longer want to continue with it. Please get in touch with our Support Heroes for more information.

What type of subscriptions are available on the app?

You can subscribe for 1 month, 3 months or 12 months. All subscriptions are rolling but you’re free to cancel yours anytime you like.

What does this mean for the Graduate Plan?

The ‘Advanced Plan’ in the Body Coach app is a great replacement for the Graduate Plan with challenging workouts to keep you progressing cycle after cycle. This also means graduates can now choose from pescatarian, veggie or vegan menus. If you don’t have an iPhone or iPad, our original Graduate Plan is still available.

How is my plan tailored to me?

Each plan is tailored using many variables taken from your questionnaire, end of cycle results and/or your bio-feedback. We work from a set menu and set training plan however, each recipe in your 90 Day Plan will be specifically tailored to you in terms of the macronutrients and calories, to ensure you make winning progress and get great results.

What support will I receive whilst I am on the plan?

Whilst on the 90 Day Plan you will have access to our team of support coaches via an online support service. If you have a question about a recipe, need help with your training or want a little motivational support, our coaches are on hand to help you!

We offer an online support service, you can just leave us a message and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

You will also have access to our online FAQ question and answer service via your client login area and throughout your plan.

If you would like to discuss this further before purchasing the plan, our team of New Client Helpers would be happy to help.

If I sign-up do I have to start now?

No, not at all. You can sign up now and then hold off on submitting your questionnaire until you’re ready to begin. You have up to 12 months from purchase in order to complete the plan, so there is no rush.

Do you have a veggie plan?

Yes, we have a veggie plan, with over 120 recipes across the 3 cycles. Just follow the steps and then be sure to select “vegetarian” in your questionnaire.

Will I still be able to get all the ingredients in the shops at the moment?

We understand that with COVID-19 it is a tough time at the moment and the supermarket shelves may not be as full as normal. But you should still be able to find most of the ingredients for your plan. The recipes are all relatively simple and use basic ingredients. You also have the flexibility to use alternate ingredients if you need to.

Do I need any gym equipment?

The workouts on the Plan can all be done from the comfort of your own home. However, we do suggest you invest in a set of adjustable dumbbells, as we introduce weighted circuit training in Cycles 2 and 3. The workouts for Cycle 1 are bodyweight only.

What if I can’t get any weights?

If you’re currently unable to purchase or access weights, that is not a problem. You can just keep on going with the bodyweight HIITs. The most important thing is the intensity, effort and energy you put into each workout.

Do I have to do the specific workouts?

The workouts on the plan are pre-set, however if you have some workouts that you like to do already - such as a run or a cycle, or a different HIIT workout - you can do that in place of one of our workouts. If you’d like to run, we’d recommend doing around 5km.

Do I have to submit photos?

No, not at all. If you’d prefer not to take photos you don’t have to. You can submit your questionnaire without them. However, it is a useful tool to gauge your progress, so you should take them and keep them to yourself to look back on.

Do I need to do the food diary?

The food diary is there to give us an understanding of your typical diet and what your body is used to. It doesn’t have to be exact, just to give us a rough idea of how you eat weekly.

Can I use recipes from Gousto or Joe’s Lean In 15 books whilst on the plan?

Whilst Gousto and Joe’s Lean In 15 books are filled with amazing healthy recipes, we wouldn’t recommend using them whilst on the plan as they won’t be tailored to you and we wouldn’t be able to ensure you’re fuelling yourself correctly. However, if you were to have one or two meals off-plan each week, it isn’t the end of the world. This plan is flexible and will fit around your lifestyle – that’s a key to sustainability.

Don’t worry. It’s likely that there has been a typo when entering your email address. We can amend that for you, just pop on our online support service and speak to one of our support coaches and they can reset your log in details for you.

I have a food allergy/intolerance can I still do the plan?

The recipes that we include in your plan are designed to give you lots of choice and to be as flexible as possible. So, if there is an ingredient that you are allergic or intolerant to then the majority of the time you will be able to swap this for something else.

Within each recipe of your plan we will provide basic alternatives for dairy, nuts and fish where possible. If you find any other ingredients in your plan that you are unable to eat, then be sure to get in touch with our team of support coaches for alternatives.

Can I do the plan as a vegetarian/pescatarian/vegan?

With the 90 Day Plan you are given the choice of a vegetarian meal plan or a meat/fish meal plan. Our Veggie 90 Day Plan contains vegetarian recipes with no fish. Further information can be found here on our dedicated Veggie 90 Day Plan page or through our online support service.

There are currently no plans for a vegan version of our 90 Day Plan.

How long are the workouts in the 90 Day Plan?

Workouts in the 90 Day Plan are up to 25 minutes long per session in cycle 1, 30 minutes per session in cycle 2 and 35 minutes per session in cycle 3. The plan requires you to complete 4-5 sessions per week throughout all 3 cycles of the plan.

Can I train from home and if so, what do I need?

Yes, you can train from home and, if working out from home, you will need a little space to manoeuvre around and also some adjustable dumbbells as the plan adds in weighted work in cycles 2 and 3. Rest assured, all of the workouts can also be done from the gym as well.

Can I do the 90 Day Plan whilst doing my own training?

We have provided you with 15 plan exclusive workouts, which are suitable for all levels, so you can follow Joe along throughout the plan. Having said this, if you prefer to follow your own training, you can do this. For example, you can go to a spinning class with a friend, go for a hill sprint session or even a boxing class. Further guidance on this can be provided by our team of Support Coaches, available through online support via the ‘client login’ area.

Can I do the 90 Day Plan whilst I am training for a Marathon?

Please keep in mind that the 90 Day Plan is first and foremost a fat loss plan. You will be on a calorie deficit throughout and as such it may not be suitable for supporting your performance related goals, such as a marathon. Whilst the 90 Day Plan can provide excellent structure and is a nutritionally balanced diet, it can be difficult to balance your training plan with our own recommended workouts. We recommend that you get in touch via online support where we will be able to discuss your training plan and advise what’s best for you.

I can't exercise at the moment, will the plan work without exercise?

At this stage, unfortunately our 90 Day Plan would not be suitable if you are unable to exercise as the meal plan is tailored in line with our recommended training routine for optimal fat loss results. If you need any further info on this, please speak to the team via the pre plan online support service.

My partner and I want to do the plan, can we have the same meals as each other & do you do a couple’s discount?

The most important thing to understand about our plans is the calories and macronutrients get tailored to the individual and this is how our clients get such amazing results. This means that, although you get the same set recipes, it is the weights and measurements of each individual ingredient within these that is set up to your own personal needs to ensure you fuel yourself with the ideal level of calories and the right split of fats, proteins and carbohydrates for your body's needs.

Due to this level of personalisation, it does take the same amount of time to produce each plan so we cannot offer a discount for multiple purchases. However, this in turn means you can shop together, prep together and even train together. We believe that team work is everything and by following the plan together combined with our online support makes for a winning formula.

I am pregnant/breastfeeding, can I do the plan?

The plan is not suitable for pregnancy but once you are back to full health after giving birth we can happily get you on board.

Our plan is perfectly safe for breastfeeding mums though but we do recommend that you speak to your GP first to ensure that they are happy with you running the plan. Everyone has different needs and the most important thing to us is the health of you and your baby, so it is always best to check with a medical professional before taking on the plan. The exact additional calories each breastfeeding Mum requires will vary so we work on averages to start with. Therefore, do stay in contact with the support hero you will have access to when you sign up should you encounter any problems.
